Explanation

Electrical Safety Test - has to be carried out every 5 years by a competent electrician (Beechwood do ours)

Gas Safety Test - has to be carried out each year by a Corgi-qualified gas engineer (BGas do ours)

HMO (House in Multiple Occupation) - Cheltenham BC inspect/licence every 3/5 years (3-storey houses only)

Change of Use - Planning Permission from Cheltenham BC is required for certain houses

It is a legal requirement for the electricity/gas certificates to be displayed on the premises - we also display them here in case they 'go missing' from the house. Also it means that parents can see them. In order to view, click on the appropriate cell in the table; the certificate will be displayed on screen. In the bottom right corner (if you mouse over it) you will find an expansion icon. Alternatively, there is a 'save to disk' icon, and then you can print from there. Where houses are registered with the University of Gloucestershire, they also hold all the certificates on file. All houses are fitted with linked, mains-powered smoke detectors. All HMO-registered houses are fitted with full AFD (Automatic Fire Detection) systems with a central control panel.
